The idea
Finding a reliable electrician, cleaner or tutor still means calling around. HireBuddy lets customers discover verified providers nearby, book a slot and pay — and gives providers one place to manage their jobs and earnings.
Two apps, one platform
Customer app — OTP login, map-based location picker, categories and service discovery, provider profiles and reviews, booking with schedule and payment, booking history and chat.
Provider app — jobs feed, services and pricing, bookings, earnings, coupons, enquiries, leave calendar and support tickets.
Engineering notes
Both apps are written in Flutter from a single design system and ship as separate apps with their own bundle IDs. Location uses OpenStreetMap with reverse geocoding — no paid map API needed. The back end is a Node.js and PostgreSQL REST API covering the full booking lifecycle.
